Booking for a large group (7–12 people) is a little more formal—it's a bareboat charter, meaning you are renting the vessel and need to provide a qualified captain.

It sounds complicated, but we've got you covered! We will provide a list of qualified, USCG licensed Master Captains whom you can hire. Just give us a call for help with the details!

When You Get a Refund

  • Customer Cancellation: You will only receive a refund if we are able to fill the tour with the same or greater number of passengers.
  • The Captain Cancels: If the Captain cancels due to weather or maintenance, we will issue a refund or allow you to rebook. We do not cancel just because it is cloudy for the sunset tour.

Why Refunds Are NOT Given

  • No-Show or Late Arrival: If passengers are a no-show or late and miss the tour, they will NOT be given a refund.
  • Behavioral Issues: The Captain reserves the right to end a cruise at any point for behavioral reasons without a refund of any sort.

A bareboat charter is essentially a boat rental where the customer takes full control of the vessel.

This type of charter is required by the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) for groups of 7 or more passengers (including children).

Your Responsibilities (The Charterer):

  • Sign a bareboat charter agreement.
  • Select and pay a USCG-licensed Captain. You can provide your own (with prior approval) or choose one from the company's list.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Provide your own food, beverages, and day-of supplies.

The Company's Role:

  • Provides the boat and the required safety gear.

In short: "We provide the boat, you run the show!"

Yes, tipping the Captain and mate is customary and greatly appreciated for charter boat services.

While there is no official rule, the industry standard for showing appreciation for your crew's service, safety, and effort is typically 15% to 25% of the total charter fee.

Tips are usually handed directly to the Captain at the end of the trip, and they will distribute it among the rest of the crew (or mate) who worked to ensure you had a safe and memorable experience.

You can read more about general tipping etiquette for charter boats in this guide from Discover Boating.

Yes, our island adventures will allow time to be in the water. However, we will only allow you to enter the water upon the Captain's discretion (judgment) for safety.

Yes!  We have a bluetooth speaker system onboard.  Get connected, dance, do some karaoke, sing… it’s your tour.  Our captains can also DJ quite a party incase you need some musical help.
